Is it economic to buy ‘cheaper’ till rolls?

Till roll users can be misled by offers for ‘cheaper’ till rolls.

Same as everything else, till rolls have gone up in price, whether you hand out receipts for retail, restaurant bills for hospitality or use them just to run your End of Day report, you still need till rolls. But are ‘cheaper’ rolls cheaper?

Genuine 80mm rolls are 55gsm thick and are 79m long each. Boxed in 20’s, from £20 delivered.

Cheaper branded rolls are 65gsm (thicker) to appear the same size!
Unrolled, length is between 58m and 61m. But they are about £15 a box.

Save £5, but lose 18 – 21m of length, lose a local supplier and lose those Saturday and Sunday privileges when staff forget to order rolls, so they call the local supplier for an emergency box.
It’s a lot to lose to save your business 25p per roll.
