As you may already be aware, data protection laws across the EU are changing on 25th May with the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).  As a result of this, we would like to make sure we are treating your contact details in the appropriate manner.

Who we are 
We are DH Business Services.
We do not use direct email to communicate with our customers about new products, services and product discontinuations unless the customer specificaally asks.

Data that we hold 
Included in the data we hold is your name, address and when given,  business Email address.  Under the GDPR rules, your name is classed as personal data.  The Email address, if it includes your name, is also classed as personal data.

How we use the data
We dont. We do not use the data to carry out direct Email communication unless you have specifically requested it.  The basis we would use for this processing for is an  “Legitimate Business Interest” for “Direct Marketing”.  This is covered in the GDPR.  The Information Commisioner’s Office (ICO) recommend that companies using this basis conduct a “Legitimate Interests Assessment” – we have done this.

Your right to opt out 
The purpose of this statement is to let you know that we will continue to not communicate with you unless you specifically request that we do, in which case, we will use your details in our system to reply to your request.
