The Comber & District Branch 
'Members Golf Society'

After a gap of over 2 years the members golf society has been re-started. Members & guests are now meeting either every Wednesday or Thursday teeing off at Mahee from around 5-30pm. The society are collecting funds in aid of the 'Ards Charity Committee'. More details are available at the branch meetings. 

PREVIOUS RIZE DAY OUTING;
The 2005 prize day outing was at long last held at Mahee on 24th October 2006. D. Moore & D. Hume where joint top scorers on the day with 36 points each. D. Moore took the top spot with the better back 9. D. Hume however did win the over 50's prize kindly sponsored by S. White. The 2005 top members prize went to R. Magee and the top visitor was T. McClean. Longest drive was S. Dickson and nearest to the pin was D. Moore. 

The members enjoyed a good lunch in the Mahee clubhouse after the game. It was then decided that the society would meet on the 2nd Sunday each month at Mahee teeing of from 9am. Each outing would be over 9 hole unless otherwise changed by consent of the society members.

2004:

Sixteen members attended the golf / prize (2004) outing at Christmas. The venue was at the Temple course and the winner on the day was guest player, Dave Smith. Top member on the day was James Crockard. The overall winner for the years outings went to Glen McClean.

At the last outing of 2003 [Prize Day] D. Moore scored the highest points and also won the top members prize for the best 3 score cards during the year.
